Legal requirement
Singapore's WSH (General Provisions) Regulations set duties for the occupier that this walk checks: clear means of escape, exit doors that open from inside, fire warning devices tested at least monthly, stable storage that keeps aisles and fire equipment clear, fenced machinery, lock-out procedures, and certified lifting gear entered in a register. The Risk Management Code of Practice asks for regular inspections to confirm controls work.
