Say this
- Tether your hand tools when you work at height. Use a tool bag when you climb.
- Keep materials back from the edge. Never stack anything against a toe-board.
- Never throw, kick or push anything off an edge. Use the chute or lower it down.
- The barricaded area below the work is a drop zone. Do not cross it, even for a moment.
- Nobody stands or walks under a load. If a load comes your way, move out of the path.
- Wear your helmet with the chin strap done up when you work at height, so it does not fall too.
- Before you leave a platform, check you have all your tools.
Ask the crew
- Where are today's drop zones?
- How do you get waste down from your floor?
- What do you do if you see someone inside a barricaded zone?
- Which of your tools can you tether, and how?
Show them
- A tethered tool and the lanyard attachment point.
- The edge of today's drop zone and the signs on it.
- A torn net or missing toe-board, if there is one, and how we report it.
